B.Pharm stand for Bachelor of Pharmacy is a bachelor’s degree course in pharmacy education. People who done B.Pharm are Pharmacists and they are = experts and health professionals who have done their studies in medicines. They can use their knowledge of medicines for the benefit of patients.

Students who are interested in the medical field basically, who wants to become a doctor can choose this course after the completion of class 12th with PCM / B. After completion of this degree, students can practice as a pharmacist.

The program also includes courses such as biochemical science and health care. The pharmacy field provides you with many career opportunities that is why this course is popular among students.

Admission Procedure:

After 10+2 with PCB/M, Students must score a minimum of 50% in the qualifying examination.

To take admission in pharmacy course, students have to apply for their 10 + 2 education and national level or state level pharmacy entrance exam.

The national level entrance test is the Graduate Pharmacy Attitude Test (GPAT). As per the eligibility criteria of the exam, you can also apply for state level exams like TS EAMCET, APEAMCET, BSECE, WBJEE etc.

There are various examinations conducted by private and public universities for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate pharmacy courses.

There are some famous university level exams like BVP CET, IPU CET, MHT-CET, etc.

Some institutes provide direct admission to the pharmacy program without appearing in the entrance examination on the basis of 12th marks.

Education in pharmacy varies from one country to another. In India, the academic courses in the field of pharmacy starts from diploma level to doctoral level.

Eligibility Criteria:

Eligibility is the most important factor that every candidate has to satisfy to be eligible for any course or anyone who wants to join any course should know this.

Candidates can check the eligibility criteria for the pharmacy course in which he/she is interested to take admission.

For B.Pharm Course: It is the bachelor’s degree in pharmacy that can be taken after passing 12th/intermediate examination. For this course, candidates must pass 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry as a compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics / Computer Science / Biotechnology / Biology subjects and must obtained 50% marks in qualifying examination.

For this the minimum age is 17 years and maximum 23 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission.

Numerous jobs are available for pharmacists in government as well as private organizations too. After completing your studies, you can easily find jobs in pharmaceutical industries, government departments, colleges and universities, hospitals, investigation and research institute etc.

Pharmacists can practice in community pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, extended care facilities, psychiatric hospitals, and regulatory agencies. Sales & Marketing job sector also hires maximum number of pharmacy graduates candidates.
